About me
I have been trained as a technical designer, an engineer, and a scientist, and every piece of art I make reflects the duality of chaos and order that reside in nature and in the engineering world.
As Paulo Coelho so beautifully captured in the Alchemist, once someone finds his personal legend, his own true path, the world conspires to push him in the right direction.
I have been looking for that path for many years and traveled the world in search for my personal legend. I understood that it does not lie in engineering, art, or science; rather, it is a combination of all these things.
My art is a representation of my true self, a split between a creative soul and a rationale one. Natural shapes are distorted to represent emotions in a fluid form that is loosely dictated by scientific rules, without being a slave to them.
I am inspired by the work of M.C. Escher, H.R. Giger, De Chirico, and of course Lucien Clergue, who discovered for me the unique techniques that fuel my work.
Please take a look at my portfolio and if there is anything that you like or if it inspires an idea for a collaboration or for a work that you would like to commission, contact me using the form or at greyson.denny@gmail.com , I promise I will be in touch shortly.
